Trash Collector...Internet Sex Probe Ends in Arrest

Peoria police assist Colorado authorities in identifying, locating and arresting a 22-year-old man accused of committing numerous sexual-related crimes involving children.

The Peoria Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau said it served a search warrant in the 8800 block of West Puget for Clifford James Lange who was wanted in the state of Colorado.

Lange had an outstanding arrest warrant for numerous sexual-related crimes involving children, officers said.

The crimes included the luring of children for sexual reasons and furnishing harmful items to children through the use of the Internet, according to police.

The Colorado State Police had conducted a five-month undercover Internet investigation and Peoria Police Detective Bob Webber coordinated a one-month joint investigation with them which led to the identifying and locating of the suspect.

Lange was booked into the Maricopa County Jail and is awaiting extradition. No. No. don't be confused. He will be extradited to Colorado not Mexico.
