Indoor Farm yields more than $ 7.5 Million in Marijuana.

More than $7.5 million worth of marijuana was seized at an indoor pot farm in a quiet, upscale Apple Valley neighborhood, officials said Thursday.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team seized 2,157 marijuana plants at a home in the 23600 block of Yucca Loma Road while serving a search warrant late Wednesday night.

Detectives of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team received an anonymous tip from WeTip, which led them to the home, said Jodi Miller, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The plants were growing in a special indoor cultivation unit using hydroponic techniques including lights and nutrient-filled liquids, she said.

This indoor growing technique raises the THC levels in the drug, which makes it more pure and much more valuable, officials said.

The various rooms in the home contained plants at several different growing stages.

The entire 3,500 square-foot, six-bedroom home, plus the garage, was used to grow the plants, she said.

Approximately one-quarter of the plants were ready for harvest, each one about three feet tall, Miller said.

In addition, 30 pounds of dried marijuana, worth about $90,000, which had been harvested sometime in the past month and was ready for sale was also found, she said.

Also, the $80,000 worth of electricity needed to power the cultivation equipment was stolen after the pot growers bypassed the meter, officials said.

Nobody was living at the home, however, it’s believed the growers were frequenting the house to check on the cultivation process.

Estimated street value in total for the entire haul was $7,549,500, Milller said.

No suspects have been arrested, she said
