Why Joe Arpaio Must go.

The "Sheriff Command Ascociation" gave the GOP $105K to run dishonest and filthy ads against Dan Saban. But who is the SCA? The AZ GOP party found themselves in trouble by taking the money and may have broken 8 seperate laws. Some are felonies.

A top Maricopa County sheriff's deputy is the point man for a mysterious political group that has given $105,000 to the state Republican Party in recent months, money that Democratic leaders say was used to pay for attack ads against Democratic candidates Dan Saban and Tim Nelson.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio has denied any link between his campaign and the attack ad against his opponent, Saban.

The ad was produced by the Republican Party and Arizonans for Public Safety, a group headed by state GOP Chairman Randy Pullen. The two groups also paid for a commercial attacking Nelson, who is running against County Attorney Andrew Thomas.

Donations from a group calling itself the Sheriff's Command Association made to the state Republican Party prompted the Arizona Democratic Party to file campaign finance complaints earlier this week with state and county elections agencies.

On Thursday, Sean McCaffrey, executive director of the Arizona Republican Party, said Capt. Joel Fox, a division commander in the sheriff's office, is the party's contact person for the mysterious association. The GOP's most recent finance report lists the association only by its initials and describes it as an "unincorporated association of individuals."

Fox "is, indeed, the individual with whom chairman Pullen requested the names of SCA's donors when their contributions to the Arizona Republican Party arrived, and we needed to have the information to file more properly," McCaffrey said.

Fox did not immediately respond to calls and e-mails seeking comment Thursday afternoon.

No one from SCA has responded to the party's request for specific information about the donors, McCaffrey said.

"We have since more loudly requested the information, and if that information isn't forthcoming from SCA, then we will act accordingly in a very timely manner," McCaffrey said. He refused to explain what those actions might include.

Pullen did not return calls for comment.

The Democrat's complaint alleges that SCA and the Republican Party have broken state campaign finance laws that regulate how political groups operate. SCA has not registered as a political action committee as required and is trying to hide who the money is coming from, the complaint alleges.

"This deeply underscores the need for a quick and independent investigation," Emily DeRose, spokeswoman for the state Democrats, said of Fox's connection to SCA.

On Thursday, Arpaio reiterated he had nothing to do with the ads. He said Fox's connection to the anonymous donations does not prove otherwise.

"I don't care," Arpaio said. "I have nothing to do with the independent expenditure, period."

Some TV stations refused to run the commercials, and the GOP ultimately pulled the ads.

McCaffrey said he does not know what position Fox holds within SCA or who else is involved.

The Maricopa County Recorder's Office, which runs county elections, has forwarded the complaint to the county attorney's office and to an outside law firm to advise the agency on how to proceed

Undocumented Immigrants do no paid taxes. Sounds familiar to you. You can't cut the meat with two nails;it's like one more nail in the coffin. Hypocrisy is not a family value.

Tax avoidance is the legal utilization of the tax regime to one's own advantage, in order to reduce the amount of tax that is payable by means that are within the law. By contrast tax evasion is the general term for efforts to not pay taxes.
In the United States "tax evasion" is evading the assessment or payment of a tax that is already legally owed at the time of the criminal conduct.
So if the Anti Immigrant Group Alipacus.net sole ownership by William Gheen didn't paid taxes as Damn Mexicans exposed
here then who's the ilegal criminal? Can we bring some justice? Can we enforce the rule of Law?

US senators have demanded a crackdown on offshore tax havens after a US congressional probe found tax evasion could be costing the US $100 billion a year.

On Friday, senators questioned the managing director of Westfield Group, an Australian firm, about its involvement with the LGT bank of Lichtenstein.

The Senate Permanent Sub-Committee on Investigations is looking at LGT Bank - and also the Swiss bank UBS - as part of a larger inquiry into wealthy US citizens who avoid taxes by hiding assets in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

But Peter Lowy, the managing director of Westfield Group, cited his constitutional right to not give self-incriminating testimony when called to answer questions.

'Hurting Americans'

The committee also said during the past week's hearings that UBS bank has roughly 19,000 Swiss accounts for US clients hiding $18bn in assets from the Inland Revenue Service (IRS)

Al Jazeera's Rob Reynolds says the two banks are being investigated for allegedly peddling sophisticated tax-evasion strategies to super-rich Americans, using their countries' banking security laws as a shield.

"The actions of a few to scam their way out of tax obligations hurt all Americans," Norm Coleman, a Minnesota Republican, said on Friday.

"A privileged few believe they are entitled to shirk their obligations and heap their tax liability on the sagging shoulders of other Americans to make up for what they evade."

The hearings on Friday came a day after the US Government Accountability Office said a building on the British Carribbean territory the Cayman Islands was being used by 18,000 companies, of which five per cent are US-owned and another 40 per cent to 50 per cent have a US billing address or other connection.

'Whistle-blower'

Politicians accuse Lowy and his father, Frank Lowy, of hiding $68m in a foundation formed by LGT bank.

The scandal emerged when Heinrich Kieber, a former LGT computer technician, revealed hundreds of names and account details to tax authorities.

He is now wanted for arrest by the European state of Liechtenstein.

Jack Blum, a lawyer for Kieber, told Al Jazeera that the system of tax evasion operates on a global scale.

"It is the tip of an iceberg because what we are only talking about are US persons, one bank, in Switzerland. We are not talking about the worldwide scope of it," he said.

"The worldwide issue is this - there has been a wealth transfer from a bottom chunk of the world population to the top one half of one tenth of one per cent. And they have escaped all kinds of scrutiny."

US tax authorities have since served legal papers on UBS, and in June a UBS executive pleaded guilty in a US court to tax fraud.

And at a hearing last week, an official from UBS AG testified that the bank would overhaul its offshore private banking business and co-operate with summons by the IRS to provide names of US clients with undeclared accounts.

Organ Harvesting at the tip of the Iceberg in America?

During the press conference, Kilgour and Matas focused on their home country of Canada as an example for some of their recommendations.

"There is no doubt that Canadians are among those going to China from many parts of the world for transplants," the press release stated. Kilgour called it "organ tourism." He said he and Matas have recently obtained confirmation from hospitals in Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary that Canadians are going to China for transplants.

Matas emphasized that Canada should issue travel advisories telling Canadians going to China for organ transplants that they may think they are getting an organ from an executed murderer but "in all likelihood" they are getting the organ "from someone who has done nothing wrong." Travel advisories should warn that organ sources in China consist "almost entirely from un-consenting prisoners, whether sentenced to death or Falun Gong practitioners."

Lou Dobbs are Clueless When It Comes to a Broken border and protection. Hypocrisy is not Family Values Lou.!!!!!!.

1.-Terrorists from the Sept 11, 2001 enter the Country thru Canada not Mexico.

2.-Canadians Citizens and foreigners can enter the Country Thru Canada with just Driver License (EDL).

3.-Until June 1, 2009,. Canadians and foreigners entering the U.S. thru Canada at land and sea border crossings will be required to show their passports.

4.- Since January 31, 2008. U.S Citizens and Mexicans entering the Country Must present a passport But Canadians Driver License. Why?

Minister Day met with U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff

The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Safety Canada, met with Michael Chertoff, Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security.

"We are making real progress together, and my meetings with Secretary Chertoff only serve to enhance the strong working relationship between our two governments," said Minister Day. "Once again, we have had a frank and fruitful discussion of key safety and border security initiatives."

Minister Day and Secretary Chertoff discussed a number of issues pertaining to the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) a trilateral partnership which facilitates the cooperation of the three nations on safety and security initiatives as well as economic prosperity and competitiveness.

Also discussed was the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI). Under the U.S. WHTI Final Rule, as of June 1, 2009, Canadians entering the U.S. at land and sea border crossings will be required to show their passports. This rule is already in effect for those travelling to the U.S. by air. Canada continues to work vigorously with the U.S. government to ensure that legitimate trade and travel across our borders are not disrupted as a result of the new document requirements
.

Building on the success of the B.C. Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) pilot project launched this past January, both Governments reiterated their support for expanding similar initiatives to other provinces and territories. These documents meet the security standards and are recognized as an acceptable alternative to passports at the Canada-U.S. border under the U.S. WHTI.

Canada and the United States continue to work together to enhance the safety and security of North America, and collaborate on a strategy to facilitate trade and travel while maintaining our secure borders, including emergency management protocols
